For Parents

Age-by-Age Viewing Tips

Ages Baby–2

  • Watch in a high chair or seated space
  • Offer finger foods, play dough, or a small snack
  • Let hands stay busy while eyes and ears learn

Ages 3–5

  • Create a cozy “learning spot” (rug, pillow, bean bag)
  • Offer a simple object to hold, like a letter card or small toy
  • Watch at the same time each day to build routine
  • Invite your child to share what they noticed afterward

Parent Note:

Perfect attention isn’t the goal. Calm repetition and routine matter more than cues that look like engagement.

Basically, you can just play the video on your smart tv or any device while your child is in the room.

If your child seems occupied with other items/toys in the room that is completely fine and it is often a sign of familiarity, not failure. Repetition strengthens learning, even when progress looks quiet.

You’re not behind. You’re building something slowly and steadily, and that’s exactly how reading begins.
